You might have a tough time finding this one on the shelves of your local video store but it is worth looking for. This one stars Danny Glover and Charles S. Dutton in 1950 rural Alabama as the owner of the Honeydripper Lounge and its bartender respectively. The lounge isn’t doing so well against the next door competition due to the lack of competing musical attractions. Danny Glover plans a way to fix this and save his lounge from going under. This is a good movie with wonderful performances throughout and if you like good blues and early rock and roll don’t pass up on this one.
